5 Signs You Might Be a Romance Writer

by Amy Loosemore, Manager Email Marketing

November 1 is National Author’s Day, so today is the perfect time to celebrate the people who make all our reading fun possible: writers! Show your favorites some love today by sending them a message about how much their work means to you. Authors give us so much entertainment and pleasure through their books – and romance authors bring extra happiness through wonderful love stories that guarantee a happy, satisfying conclusion.

But writing romance comes with some interesting side-effects, too! So watch out — if any of these signs sound familiar, you may just be a romance author!

You might be a romance writer if…

…your search history ranges from “Romantic five-star hotels in Paris” to “How to diffuse a bomb.”

…you spend hours scouring baby name sites for the perfect moniker…for your characters, not your children!

…you understand romance novel acronyms like HEA, TSTL, M/M and F/F.*

…you hide your screen while writing steamy scenes at your local coffeeshop so you don’t make your barista blush.

…you believe everyone – both real and fictional – deserves their own happily-ever-after.

In honor of National Author’s Day, we’d love to hear who your favorite authors are in the comments!

*happily-ever-after, too stupid to live, male/male, female/female

I really admire romance authors. Imagination, and endurance to keep writing. I love to read what they write. Some times I think about writing but I am not good at it. I do continuously, write down ideas and plots.
