Fall in Love With Tuscany in Harlequin’s Vineyards of Calanetti Series

by Barbara Wallace, author of Saved by the CEO

This month, we say goodbye (for now) to Monte Calanetti, home to The Vineyards of Calanetti, the latest continuity from the Harlequin Romance line. And what a continuity it’s been. From the moment readers arrived in the scenic Tuscan village in Susan Meier’s A Bride for the Italian Boss, they’ve been treated to the kind of romance only Italy can provide. Bosses have fallen in love with their loyal assistants (Jennifer Faye’s Return of the Italian Tycoon), parents have started families (Reunited by a Baby Secret by Michelle Douglas) and hearts thought damaged forever found love again (Cara Colter’s Soldier, Hero…Husband?).

Even when the characters ventured out of Monte Callanetti, there were centuries of art and history along to help play cupid. When long-lost lovers are reunited (His Lost-and-Found Bride by Scarlet Wilson), it’s the beauty of Venice that reignites their passion (who doesn’t love a good gondola ride?), while the glamour of Milan set the stage for brand new love (The Best Man and the Wedding Planner by Teresa Carpenter).

Capping it all off, last month readers were treated to the pomp and pageantry of a royal wedding! (His Princess of Convenience by Rebecca Winters.) With its enchanting (or is it enchanted?) fountains, sensual foods and golden green fields, Monte Calanetti proved to be exactly what seven lucky couples needed to find their happily ever-afters.

And through it all, Louisa Harrison and Nico Armatucci were there, bickering, making peace, and pushing their friends and family toward love. Now, it’s their turn. Will Monte Calanetti’s most prominent residents embrace the love they’ve been dancing around for the past seven books or, will the past keep them from taking the risk? Let’s just say a scandal, a harvest festival, moonlit nights and a few breath-taking kisses will certainly test their resolve. To find out what happens, readers will have to read this month’s finale, Saved by the CEO.

Truly, the Vineyards of Calanetti are a magical place. The authors who worked on this continuity hope you enjoyed your visit to Monte Calanetti as much as they enjoyed bringing the village to life. Who knows? Perhaps we’ll go back for a second visit someday.

Oh, and if you haven’t checked out the Vineyards of Calanetti yet, there’s only one question: What are you waiting for?
