Weekly Summer Giveaway: Lone Rider by B.J. Daniels

Author B.J. Daniels returns to Montana for a new tale of Western romantic suspense in Lone Rider, part of her Montana Hamiltons series. And this week we are giving one lucky reader a chance to win a free copy! Read a bit about the book and continue on to find out how to enter…

lone riderWhen danger claims her, rescue comes from the one man she least expects

A cowgirl at heart, Bo Hamilton does her best thinking in wide-open spaces. So when money goes missing from the family foundation she runs—meaning one of her trusted ragtag employees is a thief—Bo rides into the Crazy Mountains to figure things out. But a killer hiding among the sawtooth ridges takes her captive…and isn’t planning on ever letting her go.

Bo’s disappearance gets folks thinking she’s the guilty one who’s run off with the money, but Jace Calder would bet his ranch that she’s innocent. Not that he has any reason to trust the beautiful, spoiled senator’s daughter. But she also gave his troubled sister a job when no one else would. For his sibling’s sake, Jace is going after Bo and bringing her home to face the truth. But up in the mountains, he finds Bo at the mercy of a suspected murderer. As her only hope, Jace is about to find out what they’re both made of.

To enter this week’s contest, leave a comment telling us about a time someone has come to your rescue. And no, we don’t expect rescues from killers (we’ll leave that to Jace and Bo!) but fixing a flat time, last-minute babysitter or just a well-timed cup of coffee can sure seem like a lifesaver, right? 🙂

Rules: Contest closes August 16 at 11:59pm ET. One winner will be selected by random draw and announced here on or around August 17. Open to residents of the US and Canada, excluding Quebec. For full official rules, click here.

UPDATE: The giveaway is now closed. Please check the comments to see who won Lone Rider!

my best friend saved my life. I was in the hospital for spinal surgery and began feeling worse. My best friend (now of 50 years) stayed by my side all day. I suddenly turned blue and was experiencing a clot shower to my lungs. Her immediate response got me the help I needed. I was in ICU a week. We are still the best of “sister” friends. I will always be grateful to my hero

My friend helped me have the courage to leave an abusive marriage. He was wonderfully supportive, and yet pushed me too. HE helped me realize that I was worth better and my kids deserved better too! He literally saved my life. I am forever grateful.

On the morning of my 64th birthday my husband noticed I was not responding to questions. He called 911 and got me the medical attention I needed. I was comatose for three days and he never left my side, sleeping in a chair by my bedside, until I regained consciousness. After I spent six days in the hospital, my hero rode up to the front entrance in a gleaming red van (no white horse, I’m sorry to say) and whisked me back home. This was not the first time he rescued me but it certainly was the most dramatic!

After losing 2 daughters, I felt like I couldn’t ever go on. My sister literally saved my life by making me remember God would always be there for me. And He has been. She showed me the way!

We lost our older sister suddenly & my brother stepped in to help work out how we were going to bury her, after unsuccessfully trying to locate her only son.
It was heart breaking for all of the family.

My husband rescues me all the time whether that be killing a huge spider, helping to unload the groceries, filling up my tires with air or coming to unlock my truck the one time I locked my keys in it. He’s always there to rescue me!

My dad has always been my hero and still is to this day even though he’s 80! I can’t count the times he’s rescued me from broken-down cars to hurt feelings. He’s ALWAYS been there with help, advice, a listening ear and above all – LOVE!

when I was 16 I went fishing with my siblings at the river. I slid into the swift moving waters and grabbed a tree root as I went down. (I do not swim} I did what comes naturally,, I screamed. My brother, who was down the river got to me just as the root came loose. He grabbed my arms and saved me. Love that man..

Thank you to the man who saw me pushing the cart of dogfood bags to my car and offered to load them for me. Chivalry isn’t dead.
