Cover Reveal: Sherryl Woods’ OCEAN BREEZE Series

If you’re in a chilly spot today (like me–I’m in St. John’s, Newfoundland!) we have a warm cover reveal from author Sherryl Woods that may give you that dose of vitamin D that you’re looking for.

What can you expect in this brand new series? Sherryl has departed from her Sweet Magnolia and Chesapeake Shores novels for a time to bring you OCEAN BREEZE. The series follows the three Castle sisters in the Outer Banks Region of North Carolina. Beautiful weather, beautiful beaches, and three new compelling Sherryl Woods stories.

We asked Harlequin Books Art Director Mike Rehder about the books and how he approached designing the covers for them. He worked closely with Sherryl to create the covers.

He says, “We really wanted to make sure that we made a visual departure, but still kept some of the visual language that has denoted her books all along. Both Sherryl and I felt that the bright warm light typically found at the beach had to be part of the overall direction.”

“In all three titles, we continue to have a large clear sky to hold the author’s name and book title (a visual pillar we have always used for her), but we have shifted that sky to a different warm hue for each book.”

About the Books

Faced with choosing between reclaiming old love and pursuing success, what will it take for one woman to realize the sense of purpose and fulfillment that only love can bring?

Faced with an unplanned pregnancy and job loss, can one woman open her heart to the love of a man who wants to be there for her no matter what?

After a glamorous career dream dies, can a woman discover fulfillment in a simpler life–and a grand love?

OCEAN BREEZE comes out in April, May and June 2013 respectively. What do you think of the covers? Are you looking forward to the new series?

Very pretty covers! I dig the soothing pastel colors, the seaside imagery, the evocative titles. Should move copies off the shelves. Sherryl Woods has had great luck with the cover art and design of her novels. I’m looking forward to her “Ocean Breeze” series.

I love them – soothing with a touch of whimsy. I usually don’t judge a book by the cover art but these would definitely catch my eye enough to give them a try. Looking forward to reading them.

Loved all three Ocean Breeze novels…read book 1,2, and 3 one after the other! Any plans for books 4,5 and 6?

Do you have to read them in the order they came out? My library has the 2nd and 3rd ones in but the first one is not there yet.

      Hi Sharon,
Each story can stand on its own (though Gabi, the heroine of the 2nd book, is first introduced in book 1). Happy reading!
