Loving the June Harlequin Covers

Part of what I love about my job is that I get to see the covers in all their shiny goodness before everyone else does, save for the art directors, the authors, the editors, the production team…okay, a lot of people. Still! I love seeing the covers as I prepare them for eHarlequin.com. Today on this dreary early Spring day I’m working on June covers. I’ve got to share a few of them with you because I have to say, these are some of the best ones I’ve seen (and I’ve seen a lot!)

And because I’m awesome, I’ve even included the synopsis for each book. See anything you like? 🙂

Vanish in Plain Sight by Marta Perry (HQN, June 2011)

Since she was a little girl, Marisa Angelo has been haunted by the image of her mother walking away, suitcase in hand, to return to her Amish roots.

Marisa and her "Englischer" father never saw or heard from her again. Now Marisa has received a shocking call from police. Her mother’s bloodstained suitcase was found hidden inside the wall of a Pennsylvania Dutch farmhouse.

Desperate for answers, Marisa heads to Lancaster County. But no one—not the police or Marisa’s tight-lipped Amish relatives—can explain what happened to her mother.

Only one man is as determined as Marisa to unravel the mystery—Link Morgan, the handsome ex-military loner who found the suitcase in the house he inherited from his uncle. Now both Link’s and Marisa’s family members are implicated in the decades-old disappearance.

The secret lies somewhere in the quaint Amish settlement. But someone will do anything to ensure the truth remains hidden forever.

This is the sequel to Murder in Plain Sight.

Lassoed by B.J. Daniels (Harlequin Intrigue, June 2011)

From the moment Billie Rae Rasmussen crashes into him, Tanner Chisholm realizes he is on a collision course with destiny. As Whitehorse’s cowboy with a heart of gold, there is no way he could overlook the fear that shadows her eyes. Something has her running scared, but now that she is in his protective arms he intends to keep her safe.

Billie Rae can’t run fast enough—or far enough. And if she sticks around this small town, the danger that follows her could put her newfound hero at risk. But Tanner refuses to leave her side, and his love gives Billie Rae the hope and courage she needs. Now she’ll fight to take back her life…or die trying.

FYI–The first book in the series, Branded, is available for presale in April!

The Girl in the Steel Corset by Kady Cross (Harlequin Teen, June 2011)

In 1897 England, sixteen-year-old Finley Jayne has no one…except the "thing" inside her.

When a young lord tries to take advantage of Finley, she fights back. And wins. But no normal Victorian girl has a darker side that makes her capable of knocking out a full-grown man with one punch….

Only Griffin King sees the magical darkness inside her that says she’s special, says she’s one of them. The orphaned duke takes her in from the gaslit streets against the wishes of his band of misfits: Emily, who has her own special abilities and an unrequited love for Sam, who is part robot; and Jasper, an American cowboy with a shadowy secret.

Griffin’s investigating a criminal called The Machinist, the mastermind behind several recent crimes by automatons. Finley thinks she can help—and finally be a part of something, finally fit in.

But The Machinist wants to tear Griff’s little company of strays apart, and it isn’t long before trust is tested on all sides. At least Finley knows whose side she’s on—even if it seems no one believes her.

The Irresistible Earl by Regina Scott (Love Inspired Historical, June 2011)

But saving a drowning young lady thwarts Meredee’s plans when her act of heroism nets her the attention of the lady’s brother and guardian—none other than Chase himself.

Meredee’s gentle ways and tranquil beauty touch Chase’s guarded heart from the moment he meets her. He’s waited a lifetime for a worthy companion—someone he can trust with his deepest secrets. But then he discovers that Meredee has harbored a secret of her own, one that love may not overcome.

@kaelee: I think the Girl in the Steel Corset is either trade or hardcover, hence the different size. The rest are all paperbacks. 🙂
