Tasty Appetizers from Love Inspired Authors

Crab-Filled Crescent Wontons from Patricia Davids, author of His Amish Teacher

I like to cook good things for my friends and family.
What I LOVE is to cook things that are good and EASY.
This appetizer fits the bill for me. This recipe is from the Betty Crocker website,
my go-to place for all things delicious if what I’m looking for isn’t in my dog-eared copy
of Better Crocker’s Cookbook, which I received as a wedding gift in 1974.

Confetti Pinwheels by Susan Sleeman & Margaret Daley authors of Her Baby’s Protector

My family loves appetizers. In fact, we enjoy them so much, we have meals of only appetizers. One appetizer that always makes our menu is Confetti Pinwheels. These little bread pinwheels are layered with nacho cheese dip, red peppers and green onions, which make them spicy and savory little wheels of goodness. The dough crisps up on the bottom, but is still soft and moist on top. They are very easy to make, but I have to warn you, they can also be a bit messy and sometimes lose their shape. Our first try didn’t turn out quite like the picture. In fact, they could have been featured as a Pinterest fail. If that happens to you, don’t let that stop you from trying again. Each time you make them, they will get better and better, and, even if they don’t look exactly like the picture, they are oh so tasty!
