A Message from Diana Palmer & UNTAMED T-Shirt Contest

by Diana Palmer, author of Untamed

Dear Reader:

Stanton Rourke, my hero from my new hardcover Untamed, has turned up in my novels for several years now. His first appearance was in Tough to Tame, where he served as a bodyguard for the heroine. He was missing an eye, and he had a totally wild sense of humor. I was intrigued.

As time went by, he turned up in other books. Bits and pieces of his past unraveled in print. But it wasn’t until Courageous that I had a good look at the woman in his life. He seemed absolutely crazy about her, but he wouldn’t let her close to him and he behaved as if he despised her.

It was a puzzle I couldn’t solve. Other books followed in which he had bit parts, including my Wyoming series. It was like a detective story as I started adding up what I knew about him. Finally, I had enough bits and pieces to understand what was keeping him from the woman in his life.

Untamed is that story. It is bittersweet. We make choices in life, and then we live with them. Sometimes the consequences are tragic. The choice Rourke made seemed, at first, unselfish and noble. But it led to consequences that affected far more lives than his own.

I thank you very much for giving Rourke’s story a place in your reading list, and I hope that you enjoy the twists and turns of the plot.

As always, I am your biggest fan,

Diana Palmer

About Untamed:

Stanton Rourke lives life on the edge. The steely mercenary is dangerous in every way…especially to Clarisse Carrington’s heart. She and Rourke were playmates as children, but she’s not the innocent girl he once knew. When tragedy robbed Clarisse of her entire family, her life was changed forever. Besides, she’s a grown woman now, and there are secrets that hold her back from succumbing to her pursuer. As she struggles to keep her distance, sparks as hot as a Texas summer fly between them. But danger is following Clarisse, leaving her no choice but to rely on Rourke, even as the old wounds lying dormant between them flare up again…

One of my favorite Diana Palmer books is Lawman. I love Grace Carver’s story and how she overcame her kidnapping and abuse as a child. I loved to dislike Garon Grier for the way he treated Grace, not knowing her past. The story line with Grace was not normal for a Diana Palmer book, and I didn’t think I would like it, but she pulled it off and made me fall in love with the book. My second favorite book is The Patient Nurse. It’s an older silhouette romance, but I can read it over and over. I love the way Diana P. creates conflicts between the hero and heroine.

Absolutely love ALL of the your books, but, if I had to choose only one as a favorite it would have to be The Winter Soldier.

Wyoming Fierce, Wyoming Tough, Protector, Winter Roses, Tough to Tame and The Rancher. I’m sure there are more but that’s off the top of my head.
