Sherryl Woods goes a little bit country with A Seaside Christmas
by Sherryl Woods, author of A Seaside Christmas
Readers who follow my Facebook posts know that the highlight of my summer was getting to a Trace Adkins concert. There is nothing I love more than a country music bad boy with a twinkle in his eye! I sure wouldn’t mind finding Trace standing beside my tree on Christmas morning!
But, since that’s unlikely, I figured I might as well create my own superstar and plunk him right in the middle of my favorite fictional town, Chesapeake Shores, for the holidays.
That’s the basic premise of A Seaside Christmas, in stores September 24, 2013. It’s the latest in my series about that wonderful, meddling family, the O’Briens, a series that began several years ago with The Inn at Eagle Point and became such a fan favorite that it’s still going strong at book ten. You can find a complete list of all the books by clicking on the checklist on my website, www.sherrylwoods.com.
Since most of the O’Briens have been happily settled for a while now, in this book I had to look to the next generation. Jenny Collins, who had a very difficult time adjusting to her mom’s marriage to Thomas O’Brien, comes home from Nashville for the holidays to make peace with this new, overwhelming family. That alone would be stressful enough, but Caleb Green, the country superstar who betrayed her, follows her to town. Caleb sets out not only to win over her family but to regain Jenny’s trust. With the two of them once more making sweet music, he’s pretty hard to resist.
I hope those of you who’ve visited Chesapeake Shores before enjoy being back among the O’Briens. And for those of you new to town, I hope you’ll experience a little of its holiday magic.
About the Book
A Seaside Christmas by Sherryl Woods
As the only child of a single mom, Jenny Collins wanted nothing more than to be part of a large, rambunctious family like the O’Briens. Ironically, though, when her mother married into that family, Jenny found herself feeling more like an outsider than ever.
Now, after years in Nashville as an established songwriter, Jenny’s drawn back to Chesapeake Shores to collaborate on a Christmas production…and to make peace with the past. As if that’s not challenging enough, Caleb Green, the singer who broke her heart, has followed her to town, determined to win her back.
With the help of a little O’Brien holiday magic, will Jenny and Caleb find a way to make sweet music forever?
