Unfortunately, I lived in New Hampshire at the time. The closest I got to a NASCAR race was the year I hired on as a trackside EMT. I got to walk up and down those stands amid the roar of engines and the crowd. A deafening thrill. I live in North Carolina now and plan to visit the just-opened NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte.
